The Weekend Dish: 11/1/2014

Happy Saturday and Happy November to you!

I hope you had a fun and safe Halloween last night and that maybe you got to have a few delicious pieces of candy :)  With the turn of the calendar, I think it’s totally within reason to totally and completely embrace Christmas. I’m ready! I was itching to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation the other day, but restrained myself. All bets are off now that it’s November. In related news, since we’re changing the clocks tomorrow night, I’m sure I’ll be in my pajamas and ready for bed by 6pm every day. How are you kicking off the new month?!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Almond Joy Martini (The Drink Kings)
I sooooo wish I could drink this!

Cheesy Pesto Pull-Apart Bread (How Sweet It Is)
Bread and cheese are a match made in heaven and the addition of pesto sounds fabulous.

My Kids Favorite Brownies (Cookies and Cups)
I’m always up for a new brownie recipe, and I love the frosting on this one!

Perfect Lasagna (She Wears Many Hats)
I have a favorite lasagna recipe that uses béchamel, but have yet to find a favorite with ricotta… this just might be the one!

Poutine with Herb Salt (The Sugar Hit)
I’ve wanted to try poutine for ages, but it’s not something that’s really made at restaurants around here. I’ve been thinking that I’d have to wait for a trip to Canada, but now I think I’ll try it myself!

Have a delicious weekend!
