The Weekend Dish: 9/6/2014

Happy first Saturday of September to you!

It still feels very much like summer around here, but I’m looking forward to the decreasing temperatures over the next week. I made the mistake of not investing in any maternity shorts or capris and the jeans are getting a little old with this heat. I have some maxi skirts that I’ve worn here and there, but they’re obviously not ideal for everyday wear around the house. What are you most looking forward to baking and cooking once the weather cools down? I’m dreaming of chili, stew and apple pie!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Apple Coffee Cake Muffins (Oh Sweet Basil)
I’d love to eat these for breakfast everyday for the next two months.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Lover’s Brownies (Two Peas and Their Pod)
These brownies have my name written all over them. So much chocolate and peanut butter!

Fall Kale Super Salad (Seasons and Suppers)
I actually made a version of this yesterday for lunch minus the broccoli and Brussels sprouts (didn’t have any) and used this maple balsamic vinaigrette. Amazing!

Sea Salt Buttercream on a Chocolate Cupcake (Lady and Pups)
I’m so used to having chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting; I would love to try this sea salt buttercream combination!

Sweet Chili Garlic Chicken Pizza (Pinch of Yum)
I’m definitely due for a new pizza recipe, and this one sounds fantastic.

Have a delicious weekend!
